3.4.1     SD Card    

 

As Raspberry Pi is designed to install operation system on the SD card, SD card is essential.

 

When purchasing an SD card, the capacity should be at least 4 GB, and it is recommended t use usually 8 GB or more. In some cases, you might want to use a 16 GB or 32 GB SD card if you want to install a lot of programs or to save a lot of data on your system.

 

The class of SD card means speed. Because it usually does not need to read or store much data at once in SD card, Raspberry Pi does not need high performance, but if you want high performance in case, you can choose class 10.

 

When you install the operating system on the SD card and start the system, unfortunately, not all SD cards will work normally on all Raspberry Pi models. Depending on the characteristics of the SD card, such as the manufacturer, data format, size, and class, it may operate normally or may not operate normally.
