9.8.2 Adjusting Audio Output
To adjust the audio output, use the [Advanced Options] item. Select the item and press the [Enter] button.

Then the next screen to select various options starts. Select the [Audio] item and press the [Enter] button.
9.8 Setting Camera and Audio Device
This section describes the environment configuration of the camera and audio device installed in the system:
■ Enabling Raspberry Pi camera
To use Raspberry Pi dedicated camera that is connected to the CSI port of Raspberry Pi, you need to activate the corresponding camera function through setting.
9.7.2 Adjusting GPU Memory
To adjust GPU memory, use [Advanced Options] item. Select the item and press the [Enter] button.

Then the next screen to select various options starts. Use [Memory Split] here. Move to the corresponding item, select it, and press the [Enter] button.
9.7 Setting Performance Items
Here you can set the environment for items that affect system performance:
■ Setting overclock
Overclock means to increase the processing speed of the CPU by increasing the clock speed of the CPU while leaving the CPU unchanged when fast CPU processing is required for special purpose. Increasing the CPU clock speed will increase the CPU processing speed, but it can overload the CPU, causing a lot of heat in the CPU, which can damage the stability of the CPU and shorten the lifetime of the CPU. Thus, limited use is recommended.
9.6.4 Setting Keyboard
When you set up the keyboard, the necessary settings for following items are set up:
■ Keyboard model
■ Keyboard layout
■ Function key for altgr
■ Compose key
■ Control+alt+backspace
9.6.3 Setting Time Zone
Select the [Change Timezone] item and press the [Enter] button.

If you select the menu to set the time zone on the detailed item setting screen, the screen to select the continent where the zone belongs first appears as below. Select the desired continent here and press the [Enter] button.
9.6.2 Setting Locale
Select the [Change Locale] item and press the [Enter] button.

This will display a list of locale that can be selected for each language. If you find the desired locale and press the [Space] button, you can to select/deselect it.
9.6 Setting Internationalization Options
Here you can set the operating environment, such as language, country, text, time zone, and keyboard. The following are system configuration items related to these:
■ Locale setting
A locale is a system to allow switching among several languages, and it allows the user to select the user’s language, country code, and characters, and a collation order which is a set of rules associated with them. When selecting locales on a newly installed system, the UTF-8 locale must be selected as the default locale. Other locales are to support backward compatibility with other systems that need previous systems.
9.5.2 Configuration Method
To configure, use the [Boot Option] item in the following screen.

When you select the item and press the [Enter] button, the next screen to select the detail item starts.
9.5 Setting Boot Startup Screen
You can specify which screen to start on the local connection screen when the Raspberry Pi system first starts up. However, these settings only work when connecting to the system directly from the console, not when connecting to the system from the remote.
When booting, the system can start with the following screen:
■ Terminal screen
■ Desktop window screen
